This spring break, the lacrosse team will be traveling to Tampa Bay, Florida to take part in their annual spring break lacrosse tournament. The boys will play in four games over the course of the trip, and in their free time they will be doing beach activities like beach volleyball and yoga. The trip is an opportunity to bond as a team and compete at a national level.

With the exception of a few players battling injuries, the majority of the lacrosse team will be in Florida to participate in the tournament. For many players, this is their second, third, or even fourth time to travel with the lacrosse team for Spring Break. Senior Reed Sallans will be making his fourth trip with the lacrosse team during Spring Break this year.

After playing in this tournament, the team begins their district play which is why the tournament is a great source of preparation. Even though a good amount of boys on the team will be making their second, third, or fourth trip for this tournament, the boy who will be making their Florida debut will be experiencing a whole new kind of lacrosse filled with intensity and speed.

“This is my first time traveling with the team for the spring break tournament and I’m really excited to see how we do. Even if we don’t do well, we will still have fun in Florida,” senior Lat Kuykendall said.

Not only is this trip a good opportunity to play lacrosse, but Florida is also an amazing place to travel to and relax.

“Last year, in our free time we got to hang out on the beach, but outside of the tournament we competed in camps and did Yoga with our coaches. It was a little weird, but fun in the long run,” junior Spencer Christian said.
