The homecoming dance is highly anticipated, with the football game being one of the most attended. This year’s homecoming festivities consist of a football game against Akins, the football team is hoping to secure their second win of the season. A pep rally Friday during Fit where the announcement of the homecoming court for Freshman, Sophomores, and Junior will be held, but the seniors will be announced during the football halftime show. If you want to vote for homecoming court the link was sent out on Naviance and the form will close Thursday night at midnight.
The homecoming dance will be Saturday from 7 pm to 10:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online or at the door. To fit the masquerade theme the student council has planned to decorate the large gym with streamers and balloons and will be supplying masquerade masks but students are welcome to bring their own. Students will be expected to wear formal attire, collared shirts and dress pants, a nice dress or something similar, to the dance. If you would like to help set up the dance or be involved in similar events then you can join Student Council by attending a meeting in room 271 during lunch on Wednesdays.
