“To be able to see him, not above you on a stage with lights shining down, but to stand next to him while he’s performing and hear him expertly perform his songs, it was incredible to be a part of that,” sophomore Eddie Morales-Green said. “It was really a life changing experience, and I’m glad I got to be a part of it because I’ll probably never be able to do it again.”

“I’ve always wanted to be able to perform with them again. They are the nicest guys…..and they have a way to make the kids feel like they are the stars of the show. Sunday right at noon, Amy Taylor called and asked if I thought we could put it together for THAT night. My initial thought was that it would be impossible. But I knew how amazing it would be for the kids to get to be on an ACL stage. I called both Patenaude and Fuhrman to see if they thought we could pull it off. Both, of course, were sure that we could. I called Amy Taylor back to tell her we were going to run with it. She gave me the phone number of the contact. When I called, it was Marcus Mumford on the phone! We talked logistics and had it all organized. He agreed to come to the band hall at 4:30 for a brief rehearsal and a ‘meet and greet.’” – Band director Brian Frock explains how it came to fruition.
